“Painting the Outdoor Still Life” with Tiffany Foss

Enjoy the day in Leiper’s Fork painting and being inspired!
Join Tiffany Foss for a morning demonstration of painting an outdoor still life, then receive guidance while the artists paint the same setting or pick a spot in picturesque Leiper’s Fork. The changing light requires quick decisions to gather the important information that expresses the light of the day and the beautiful color and arrangement of flowers. We will gather at the end of the day to share the artist’s joys and challenges.
We will take a break at around lunchtime to eat lunch and stroll through Leiper’s Creek Gallery and be inspired by our fellow Chestnut’s works. Only 10 spots available!

- Oil paints or acrylic paints
- I use Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Medium, India Yellow, Cadmium Red Medium, Alizarin Crimson,( and if you have a color to produce a strong pink – bring it, but if you don’t it’s ok!)
- Canvases (2 – size between 9×12-12×16)
- Brushes – filberts/flats size 2,4,6,8
- Paper Towels
- Gloves if you use them
- Odorless solvent
- Plastic trash bag
- View finder tool
- Sun umbrella if you use one
- Hat
- Sunscreen/bugspray
- Wet paint carrier
- Camera
- Comfortable clothes
