“Painting to Preserve” Member Show – Call for Entries
Call for Entries – Submit Early
Event Co-Chairs Dale Finley and Ellen Bibb are thrilled to formally announce the call for entries for June’s “Painting to Preserve” 20th anniversary Chestnut Group show. Our planning team walked the exhibit space today, and it will easily accommodate a large number of paintings; therefore, we decided to raise the number of submissions per artists from five to TEN. Because we anticipate that the majority of Chestnut members will participate in this show (according the participation poll we sent out earlier in the year,) we encourage you to submit your title block entries as soon as you are prepared to do so. Early submission will help us manage the submission process, aid with ongoing planning, and avoid the “last minute rush.” More information is available in the show FACT SHEET.
Title block submission guidelines and on line form can be found on the Chestnut Group website under the “Members” tab at the top of the page: Here is the link to the entry resource page. You must be logged in for proper access.
Title Block Entry Page: New this year is large block near the bottom of the on line form titled “Additional Painting Details”. Although not a requirement, you are encouraged to enter a 2-4 sentence description of your work. This information will help our Sales Assistants convey details to potential buyers. (This information will NOT appear on the title block or the hanging block – simply for the Sales Assistants to add “color”)
Also, a few reminders:
- Be sure to designate “donated” paintings by checking the donated block at the bottom of the form. Each member is asked to donate at least one painting. Donated paintings will have “Artist Proceeds Donated” verbiage on the hanging block.
- You do not have to submit all your Title Block entries at once. Please do it one at a time, as you are ready.
- Title Block deadline is midnight June 18, 2021 (but please don’t wait)
