Wildwood Resort PaintOut
Chestnut Members,
We have an exciting opportunity to paint on beautiful Cordell Hull Lake at Wildwood Resort, Sunday, May 16, a sponsor for the upcoming Painting to Preserve art show and sale. The paintings created there can be entered in the June 25-27 show. We will have postcards to hand out to visitors. Wildwood is an easy 1-hour drive from Metro Airport, just out I-40 and north of the interstate about 14 miles. To view directions from the airport, click here.
We are invited to come earlier and stay later but management would appreciate our painting from 11a-3p to benefit the Sunday visitors.
If you want to add to the experience, you may spend the night, and they currently have some lodging available. You may book online by visiting https://wildwoodresorttn.com/rooms/ or by calling their concierge at (931) 653-4360.
For dining onsite, Sunday the Lakeside Restaurant is closed beginning at 3 p.m. Optionally, The Holston Cafe has sandwiches, pizza, a salad, and grab-and-go options until 5:00 p.m. Ebel’s Tavern in Carthage on 104 E 3rd Ave is open for dinner. The Holston is open Monday at 9 a.m. with light hot breakfast sandwiches, homemade pastries, coffee, juice, etc.
We will position artists on the Sunset Pavilion, the Boardwalk (the longest in Tennessee), the new South Deck Pavilion, the Wisteria Pergola, and near the Airstreams in the woods.
This will be a fun day!
