Greetings Chestnuts!

There has been enough rain during this month of February for the earth to be rich with color soon. With the promise of Spring upon us, March will hold the budding greens and redbud trees in Warner Parks, as well as birds and animal stirring, plus early wildflowers in the forests and fields. We have dates for printouts listed below, but also urge you to get out whenever you can to capture this special season on canvas for the upcoming show.

Meet at the Nature Center on these painting dates unless otherwise posted the week of. We will be checking with the Warner Naturalists for certain locations that they will take note of for us.

Sunday, March 11th    – 9:00 a.m.    Judson

Saturday, March 17th  – 9:00 a.m.    Annie

Saturday, March 24th  – 9:00 a.m.    Annie

Sunday, April 1st.        – 9:00 a.m.    Judson

If you have a painting image that you would like to share with the Warner Parks marketing team for possible promotion, please forward a jpg of that painting image to either Chris Tatrn at chris@tatrn.com or Tiffany Foss at fosshouse@gmail.com .

The files must be formatted in the following way:  Artist Name_painting title_medium_size

for example:  Claude Monet_Waterlillies_oil_30x40

These submitted paintings need to be committed for the upcoming show. Please note that work must represent the Warner Parks or wildlife that you would see in the parks.  (More information is seen on the fact sheet-(click here for that)).  If used, Warner Parks will credit the artist.  Please use care when photographing your painting, crop the image, watch glare, no frame included, square image – not slanted.  Thank you!!  This extra care helps the chances of them choosing your work to be used and gives us the most professional representation of the group’s variety of work, which we are so proud to offer!  Please email us if you have questions!
