Two Harpeth River Watershed Paintouts on May 7

Join us this Saturday, May 7 for a Harpeth River Watershed Paint Out:
We’ll paint in Leiper’s Fork and the greater area for the HRWA Show, “Scenes of the Harpeth.” Thanks to these Chestnut Group members for hosting:
MORNING

In the morning, we’ll be at Anne’s painting the lovely scenes of barns, horses, vistas, and the creek. Drive through Leiper’s Fork and turn left on Bailey, just after Green’s Grocery and just before the gas station and Pinewood Road. Anne’s house is past the first road on the right. Look for the white house with green trim. Rustic restroom in the barn or just a mile, or so, from Leiper’s Fork gallery and restaurants.

When approaching from Franklin or Leiper’s Fork, you will see a cute red house with a green tin roof on the right, Anne’s is on the left with a sharp driveway, between two ponds. Take the long gravel drive to the end.
Anne and her son Nathan will provide our “home base” and we travel to paint the nearby threatening development, under siege lands known as Two Farms, which run along W. Harpeth and Coleman Road, south of Anne’s home. You will find mustard fields, long vistas, barns, cows, sheep, and a beautiful, green road tunnel of trees to the east. The mass development will encompass 2,000 acres, 500 acres larger than WestHaven. Click

You may also paint at Anne’s house for additional scenes with a pond where Great Blue Heron or a White Egret frequent, and lovely sunsets. Annie will provide restroom and deck space where you may have your lunch.
