Six Chestnuts In the AIS Juried Exhibition!
Chestnuts Frank Baggett, Anne Blair Brown, Shirley Fachilla, Millie Gosch, Lori Putnam and Dawn Whitelaw will have work in this year’s American Impressionist Society (AIS) Annual National Juried Exhibition. There were a total of 1,349 paintings submitted for the 2016 show with 140 accepted.
Taking place in the Howard/Mandville Gallery in Kirkland, Washington, just outside of Seattle, the show will run from September 29 to October 30. Noted California artist and AIS Master Calvin Laing is the Awards Judge and will conduct a workshop just prior to the exhibit. Several other events from a museum tour and lectures to a paint-out are also planned during the initial show weekend for AIS attendees.
