SHELBY Paint Out Schedule – Volunteer to Host
Dear Members,
Given the short timeline ahead of our Shelby Park show’s deadline of Monday, April 3 (at midnight) for entering paintings, we are scheduling Paint Outs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for every Saturday from Feb 4 to March 25. These are intended to include beginners and new members all the way to our professional artists!

What we need (in addition to members showing up to paint at the Paint Outs) are MEMBERS TO VOLUNTEER TO SERVE AS POINT PEOPLE to host these events. All this requires is showing up at the Shelby Park location that our show co-chairs will assign to you the week prior to the Paint Out event. We’ll be adjusting for weather using the Chestnut Member’s Facebook page.
You can set up your equipment and paint or just be available to help attendees select great photos and advise newcomers. This is about getting members networking.
TIP TO HOST: Experience has shown that members tend to like wrapping up each of these Paint Out days with a Happy Hour to reflect and review our work – most likely at Urban Cowboy nearby!
NOTE: Feb 18th needs 12 people to sign up as it’s part of our full Member Meeting at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day. We’ll be hosting at all 7 of the Shelby locations for which we created parking maps.
