The workshop begins on Sunday evening July 12 in a beautiful artists studio in Tenants Harbor, Maine with an orientation and slide show of Master Artist works. Roger will explain the detail, techniques and compositions of the masters to help enhance your understanding of the foundation of painting. The next 4 days will be intensive learning on location at some of the most beautiful places in Maine. Included in the workshop will be demos and an abundance of instruction and painting time. Instruction will include the importance of simplifying and massing the vastness of the landscape, value and color and how to “see” as an artist.

Registration for all workshops includes a 50% deposit with final payment due 45 days prior to the workshop.

You will be just 5 miles from the ferry to Monhegan Island, ME, an artists’ paradise! A ferry leaves for Monhegan from Port Clyde in the morning and returns at the end of the day, or there is a wonderful inn overlooking the sea.
