Painting to Preserve 2022 Show Recap

Dear Chestnuts,

On the heels of what was by almost all measures a beautiful, very successful “Painting to Preserve” Chestnut Group art show at MBA, we as co-chairs wanted to reach out and thank you for your participation as volunteers and your submission of an excellent body of work. The feedback we received from people who visited the show has been overwhelmingly positive, and we continue to hear compliments from people on the abundant talent that was on display. While our sales did not measure up to the records we broke last year, we are grateful to MBA as an incredibly generous and supportive partner and hope to continue this partnership in future years. This show has been unique for our group in that it gives TCG artists a chance to show a wider variety of work and it is the only show in which a higher percentage of proceeds goes to TCG. The Board will take all of this into consideration as they continue to look at the many options to continue this opportunity.

As always, there are so many people to thank for their hard work in making this show happen. Each and every one of you played an important roll, and we are tremendously grateful for you all.

NEXT UP, we look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Member Meeting on September 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Brentwood Library. Moving forward, please focus your painting efforts on Franklin Parks for our show in November, and also on Shelby Parks for our show next spring.

More information on the Member Meeting and upcoming shows, paintouts, and activities will be available in the July Newsletter coming out this week.

With gratitude,
