Painting Opportunity at Riverview Gardens for Cheekwood!

Chestnuts,

We have been asked by Cheekwood to paint the Riverview Gardens in Riverfront Park downtown on October 7th from 9 am to 5 pm. Cheekwood is asking us to be present on this day to help their presence downtown known and what better way than to have the Chestnuts paint the gardens for a day! A bonus is that your painting is on the Cumberland River and eligible for the CRC’s Farm to Fork fundraiser on October 27th.

Attached is a drone shot of Riverview Gardens taken after construction. I’ve taken the liberty of circling in areas I think could easily work for setting up. They could also set up on the wider walkways, as long as visitors can pass by.

Here is information on parking from the Ascend Amphitheater (which resides in Riverfront Park, and is just South of Riverview Gardens):

Also, it would be good to mention that painting for Cheekwood on the river could be in preparation for GRG Farm to Fork.

·         The least expensive parking is at the Stadium, and then walk across the Seigenthaler Bridge.

·         Restrooms are located near the dog park, and in the Amphitheater building.

To save a place for yourself, please let Rachel know if you will be attending. chestnutnews2@gmail.com.

This is a Metro park and they ask that we let them know the number of artists attending. Thank you!!
