New partnership with Friends of Franklin Parks
Hello Chestnuts,
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Friends of Franklin Parks, introduce you to their mission and get started painting!
Friends of Franklin Parks, Inc. exists to cultivate stewardship within the community to preserve our cultural and natural resources, enhance the park experience and expand its legacy for future generations. For more information visit www.friendsoffranklinparks.org
In the forefront of their fundraising is the historic Harlinsdale Farm and it’s victorian era farm house (Hayes House) and large horse barn. These projects will be our first partnership with them and will launch our first showing to their patrons at their annual fundraiser “Raise The Roofs” on Saturday, August 15, 2020.
This first show will be a one evening event and will require fewer volunteers than normal. We will canvas the membership at a later date.
We look forward to an ongoing three year partnership as they renovate and eventually create an art center and museum with the Hayes House Project. The paintings you create will be eligible for all future FOFP shows during this ongoing partnership.
Dates for drop off, size limits etc will be announced soon.
Best regards,
Karen Philpott, Chair FOAP
