Kevin Menck’s Solid Foundation of Painting the Landscape Class
If you have been wanting to learn how to paint the beautiful Tennessee landscape but need help with the basics or guidance from a professional plein air painter and landcape artist, join Kevin Menck in the studio this summer! Kevin will be teaching a 6 week class on Monday afternoons 1-4 pm starting July 22-August 26th at Warehouse 521.
Through demonstrations and one on one instruction, Kevin will provide an organized approach to painting the landscape and tips on how to capture the essence of a scene in nature. Focus will be on drawing, color, value and composition of the landscape. Students will learn to see masses and the value of each as they relate to each other and the basic value structure of the landscape. Edge work and paint handling will be emphasized along with the use of the limited palette.
