The Chestnut Group presents

20 years of

Painting to Preserve

Inaugural Member Art Show
June 25-27, 2021

This first-of-its-kind member art show celebrates The Chestnut Group’s 20-year artistic journey across middle Tennessee’s natural landscapes and historical properties. It celebrates the mission of the Chestnuts who have served as active fundraisers and proud partners to more than 35 local organizations and institutions who are dedicated to the common goals of ConservationEducation, and Community. As our new partner for this event, MBA has graciously offered their beautiful gallery space as our venue. They are also excited to invite their school and alumni communities to attend this event.

The 20th Anniversary Member Art Show provides a broad opportunity to paint your favorite spots throughout middle Tennessee. You are encouraged to paint any and/or all past, current and future Chestnut partners properties. (see partial list below)  If you ever wanted to paint a particular spot, now is your chance. You are free to do so! Paintings submitted to a prior show with one of our partnering organizations may be included in this exhibit; however, please refrain from submitting any work associated with Radnor Lake as we look to reserve those for the upcoming Radnor show November 3-7 of this year. Arrangements for organized paint outs will be forthcoming. Individual painting is certainly your prerogative and done so at your convenience.

Additionally, you are free to paint any of your favorite locales throughout middle Tennessee including urban and rural settings. Wildlife paintings are welcomed as well.

If reference photos are used, they must be taken by the artist. Please have photographs available in the event an issue arises.

All submitted works regardless of locale or subject matter, should reflect the Chestnut Groups tenants of plein air painting.
