Greenways for Nashville-Dinner on the Bridge event

greenways for NashvilleGreenways for Nashville Dinner on the Bridge Announcement

The Greenways for Nashville would like to invite The Chestnut Group member artists to submit paintings to be auctioned at the Dinner on the Bridge fundraising exhibition and auction, September 29, 2016.
Thirty paintings by thirty artists will be exhibited and auctioned the night of the dinner on the John Siegenthaler Memorial Bridge.  Although this is an “auction”, the starting price of your painting will be the minimum bid price, as set by the artist

.  If that minimum bid price is not met, the painting is not sold.  The split for sold auction piece will be at standard Chestnut show percentage split: 45% partner / 45% artist /10% Chestnut Group.   As always, any commissioned pieces that originate from this event should also be processed through the partner with the above splits.
The Dinner on the Bridge space limitations and remote location allow only 30 paintings to be displayed.  In order to increase artist opportunity, all Chestnut Group artists may submit an unlimited number of paintings.   30 artists will have one painting each selected by our Event Partner to be exhibited at the auction.
This is the second year for this event.  Last year was very successful so we are hoping for an even better result this year.
Submitted paintings must have subjects taken from the Nashville Greenway system.  Nashville has 75 miles of greenway trails (including paved, off-street and multi-use trails), plus over 150 miles of primitive and paved trails in local parks.  See the Fact Sheet on the Chestnut Group web site under the Resources heading for specific information and links to maps.
Event Chair Michael Poindexter is looking for volunteers to organize paint outs and to help with auction sales the night of the event.
