Free Figure Drawing Practice: Artists Drawing Artists
From Chestnut member, Sandy King, who is offering an opportunity for figure drawing practice with a newly forming practice group, meeting free of charge at Metro properties:
If any of you are looking for some free figure drawing practice, we have two Artists Drawing Artists drawing groups meeting. Keep in mind it’s free because everyone who shows up takes a turn being the clothed model for the session.
Mondays 10-noon – in the courtyard behind Centennial Arts Center (back right corner of the park.) Park your car across the park road from the Arts Center. If that lot is full you can park in the student parking area if there is room (parking passes available inside for use only when you attend this group.)
2nd Saturdays 11-1- next to the Bellevue public library. Park in library parking.
Both Monday and Saturday: Bring your own sturdy easel (or be prepared to hold your drawing pad) and art supplies. Also bring a tarp to put underneath your easel if you are sketching with paints or pastels. We want to leave the place as clean as we found it.
Both locations have shelters in case of rain and bathroom facilities. Future times and locations are subject to change depending on extreme weather, but changes will be posted.
