This class is a response to consistent requests for advice about what andhow to arrange for still life practice away from the Warehouse. WHAT TO PAINT? is the hurdle that keeps so many of us from the easel.
Our goal in this class will be to arrange, and complete a small painted study each week from life. Coaching will begin with the arrangement process itself, and extend to assisting in targeting and achieving goals in realistic, impressionistic painting.
Drawing Lab: Heads Up!
3 Tuesday Afternoons, 1-4pm
October 6, 13, 20.
$145.00 + Model fee to be determined by group size
Get a handle on the head with this 3 week study. Instruction will cover theoretical structure and mechanics, working with planes of the head and plaster casts, and how to approach drawing from live models. Our goal will be a head study each week, working on gesture, proportion, and convincing form.
