Cumberland River Compact Show information – Fact Sheet

This show is different than any of our others due to the length of the show, size of actual hanging area, and inclusion of an online gallery for sales.
The show will begin with a “River Talk” for the CRC patrons to be held on Thursday, October 11 from 12-1pm. The River Talk will be focused on The Chestnut Group, our partnership, our history, and the work that we do. Ample time will be given to peruse the work and purchase on that day. Depending on the amount of submissions, the work will be rotated over the course of the month that it is hung. The CRC hosts groups frequently in their event space and the work will be available and visible to those groups over the month it is there. We will also need to promote the show by sharing the online gallery with our patrons and friends and on the social media platforms that you participate in. The CRC will be doing the same.
All artwork must feature the Cumberland River Watershed or anything in it. Artists will be able to submit either 2 or 3 pieces, depending on size, into the show for hanging. The fact sheets lists those parameters. Artists may submit an additional 7-8 images to be included in the online gallery hosted by the CRC and available for sale. Submission guidelines: file naming and information submitted must be submitted correctly or they will not be included in the online gallery. Contact information is also required. Painting submissions are made by using the link in the Fact Sheet.
A separate announcement will be coming in the next couple of days with scheduled paintouts.
