Chestnut MEMBER Meeting – Saturday, February 18, 2023
Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Shelby Park on Saturday, February 18th for the first Chestnut Member Meeting of the year!
If you haven’t yet made it to Shelby to paint for our show in April, this is the perfect chance to orient yourself with the park, learn more about what is happening in The Chestnut Group this year, and enjoy painting with your fellow Chestnuts.
Here are the opportunities we are offering on Saturday, Feb. 18th:
- 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.: Scouting Session, Orientation, and Photo Safari : Chestnut guides will be stationed in several Shelby parking lots to offer tours of potential painting sites
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: MEMBER MEETING at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center – bring your lunch, meet fellow Chestnuts, and learn more about upcoming events
- 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. : Paint Out at your location of choice in Shelby Park (select from the morning orientation to get some artwork underway)
- 5:00 – till : Reconvene at Urban Cowboy for Cocktails, Critiques, and Camaraderie
We encourage you to join us for our first Member Meeting in 2023. We look forward to sharing some special event and painting opportunities that are coming very soon!

Special note: The Shelby Paint Out series will officially begin Saturday, February 4th. Paint Outs will be held each Saturday leading up to the “The Colors of Shelby” Show in April – more information on these Paint Outs coming soon in a separate announcement, and as always, check the Chestnut Facebook page for updates and cancellations due to weather.
