Chestnut Jane Hughes Coble Showing at Stanford Fine Art Gallery until Oct. 13th
Come see the ”Four Out of Four Plus One” Art Show of all four Hughes siblings and Jane’s daughter Anne Hightower Trainer at Stanford Fine Art, 6608A Hwy. 100, 37205, just past Westgate Shopping Center.
Jane’s brother, Dr. Allen Hughes of Memphis has won the National Wildlife Show twice in both painting and carving, been in or on the cover of over 40 publications and all his 50 prints are sold out. Jane, the next oldest, had her first serious drawing published in a magazine, was chosen for the Best and Brightest Show in Scottsdale, AZ, has had a number of shows and currently she and Tiffany Foss are repeating as co-chairs for the Chestnut Art Show for the Cumberland River Compact. Her sister Sally Smith of Charleston, SC has done the cover of the Charleston Tourist book, won Spoloto poster contests and had over 50 one woman shows. Sister Anne Sayle of Mississippi has her masters, teaches at the college level and is also a potter and fabric artist, having done the huge wall hangings in an Arkansas church and all the wall hangings in the Hutchison School chapel in Memphis. Jane’s daughter Anne was doing portrait commissions at age 16, has had a number of shows and has done custom artwork , both commercially and for Harpeth Hall and Julia Green Schools. So a lot to see!!!
