Chestnut Chantel Barber Finalist For BoldBrush Competition
Chestnut member Chantel Lynn Barber’s work “Claire’s Light” was chosen as a finalist in the February 2017 BoldBrush painting competition. “Claire’s Light”, 12×6 – acrylic on panel, was painted using a color study done from life, along with a reference photo. This sweet girl of eleven was born in China and adopted by Chantel’s next door neighbors. Her warmth and sensitivity toward others shows through in everything she does. Chantel says, “I have known Claire since she was brought home as a baby and in all that time her light has never failed to shine!”
