Beware of Email Scammers Posing as Potential Art Customers
Watch out for scammers pretending they want to buy your art. Below is a message that has been sent out frequently. We recommend that you mark these emails as “spam,” and definitely do not send them your art or any money. The scammer’s goal is to “overpay” you, then to ask you to send him the money you owe back as “change.” I have also seen this email with identical wording, but with a different name and location.
