Bio
Virginia’s paintings and drawings capture a moment in time. She enjoys the immediacy and energy of working on-site and interacting with the people and places. Virginia brings energy and color to her compositions: from the Nashville's horse farms and city scapes, to the Adirondack Mountains, to the streets of Chicago and New York. She is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design, NYC. She earned her MA in Medical Illustration from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is currently a practicing Medical Illustrator at her company Ferrante Medical Media. For one year she was the Artist in Residence at the Anatomy Lab, RUSH University Medical Center where she organized anatomy sketching sessions for local Chicago Artists.
