Bio
Susan's loose and charming style of painting exudes warmth, joy, and nostalgia, capturing subjects near her home in middle Tennessee, in simple strokes of color. Although she has experimented with several mediums over the years, she now concentrates in oils, acrylics, and watercolor.
Susan is a longtime member of the Chestnut Group Plein Air Painters and is a very active art instructor, teaching both children and adults in a variety of classes around the south.
Susan resides in a century-old Craftsman cottage in Columbia, Tennessee, where she can be found painting, reading, gardening, or sipping sweet tea on the front porch with numerous well-loved, but very misbehaved, foster furbabies.
