Bio"The Chestnut Group gives me a place to belong with my interests in painting, conservation of land, and historic preservation." Renee served as the group's president in 2018 and 2019. Having begun painting in 2014 after working in non-profit conservation, interior design, and horticulture, she has chosen teachers whose work she admires, from their painting techniques and philosophy. Subjects are often inspired by nature. Passionate about birds, animals, trees, and travel to new and favorite places, inspiration is never far away at home in beautiful Tennessee, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
