Bio
After graduating from Vanderbilt, Mary Margaret Peel trained to become a professional medical illustrator. Her illustrations have been published in numerous books and medical journals. For over 20 years she worked as head of the VA Medical Media department providing visual support for its medical teaching programs. She has studied with several distinguished artists including Gus Baker, Anton Weiss, Joseph Sulkowski, Connie Erickson, Juanita Greene Parks, Roger Dale Brown, Dawn Whitelaw, Pat Thompson, Jim Himsworth and others. She has studied portraiture with the internationally renowned portrait painters Daniel Greene and and Michael Shane Neal. She also studied in Italy at The Florence Academy of Art and with Wende Caporale in NY.
