Bio
Born and raised in Nashville, I grew up while hiking, backpacking, and canoeing with my family in Tennessee and beyond. I continue to find beauty and spiritual fulfillment in the natural world, and I am concerned about threats from pollution, economic inequality, and climate change. All these themes bring inspiration and purpose to my artwork.
While not a stranger to plein air painting, I also refer to my own photography and drawings from time spent in the field. I love watercolor and pastels, and I’ve recently returned to oil painting.
I have been a traveler, a wilderness instructor, a teacher, a poet, and a musician. My art is currently on exhibit at Bennett Galleries, where I work as a professional framer.
