BioEver since I was a young boy, growing up in Middle Tennessee, I have loved being outdoors. I loved baseball, hunting, fishing, hiking and just being outside. I had an interest in photography but had never tried painting. When I went to college, I pursued the technical areas with a degree in Math/Computer Science and later added an MBA. I decided to take an art course at a local Adult Education program and was fortunate to have Marion Cook as a teacher and later as a mentor. I fell in love with oil painting. I took some courses at Watkins Institute and other venues but really didn't have time to devote to painting. In 2012, I retired from a great career as VP of Information Systems at Genesco and now have time to pursue my love of painting.
