BioOriginally trained as an industrial designer (BS Industrial Design, Kent State University) I enjoyed full career designing and marketing various consumer packages. Now free of commercial responsibilities I'm at liberty to pursue art for art's sake. My manner of painting is influenced by late 19th century artists and ideally imparts a loose realistic quality. Using a moment of observation I look to draw viewers attention to those interesting compositions found in common everyday settings. I trust viewers find my work easily relatable, evocative and delightful to the eye. In addition to my degree from Kent State, I've studied at The Scottsdale Artist School and gratefully encouraged by local artists Dawn Whitelaw and Kevin Menck.
