BioMy husband and I live on a farm near Leiper's Fork, TN that we share with our dogs, chickens, and lots of wildlife. My art is influenced by the people, experiences, emotions, and places in my life, and since it comes from a sense of nostalgia and connection, those are the feelings I want it to evoke in others. Visible brush strokes and texture are integral elements of my art. One of my favorite challenges is to incorporate poetry whenever a painting is particularly meaningful to me. I keep a blog of my life as an artist (link below). I'm also an associate member of the Outdoor Painters Society, Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, and American Impressionist Society, Inc.
