BioMy husband and I live on a 90-acre farm near Leiper's Fork, TN that we share with our dogs, chickens, and innumerable wildlife. Country life provides some remarkable opportunities for painting and for spending time with our 5 granddaughters. I started painting (primarily in oils) after retiring from 30+ years in education. My joy is when I get "lost" in a painting - totally immersing myself in the creative and expressive experience. As a lifelong writer, I enjoy composing poetry to accompany some of my paintings. I keep a blog of my art and poetry (link below). I'm also an associate member of the Outdoor Painters Society, Oil Painters of America, and American Impressionist Society, Inc.
