BioMy husband and I live on a 90-acre farm near Leiper’s Fork that we share with our three dogs, a flock of chickens, and innumerable wildlife. Farm life provides some amazing opportunities for painting, and it is the backdrop for enjoyable outdoor and painting experiences with our five granddaughters as well. I started painting (primarily in oils) after retiring from over 30 years of teaching. As a lifelong writer, I like to compose poetry to accompany some of my paintings. I keep a blog of my art and poetry at http://marycarolart.blogspot.com/p/gallery.html You can tell I'm a former teacher because I love taking lessons and workshops from other artists as often as possible.
