BioBarbara Gronefeld, originally from Dayton, OH, moved to Nashville, TN after living in Dallas, TX. She received at BS degree in art from Thomas More College, Ft. Mitchell, KY and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Belmont University, Nashville, TN. After teaching art at the high school level and Advanced Placement Visual Art courses, Gronefeld continues working in a variety of media including watercolor, printing making, copper reprosse and batik. Currently, she has begun to work in oil on canvas after joining The Chestnut Group. She is most interested in light and shadow as it falls across the land illuminating shapes and atmosphere.
