The Role of Lost and Found Edges in Painting
Description: We will explore various methods of using paint to create hard and soft edges, look at the variety of ways in which edges are manipulated in paintings, and discuss how the intentional use of edgework contributes to the success of a painting and to the distinct visual language of an artist.

Type of Workshop: Studio: Lecture and painting exercises using informal still life and photos.

Supply List:
- Painting set up and whatever student is used to painting with,
- one or two small panels
- Students are encouraged to bring one or two paintings for discussion and a lunch.
