Important Details for The Hermitage Fundraiser
The Hermitage show – “Chestnuts at The Hermitage – Celebrating 250 Years of Jackson” is quickly approaching and we wanted to update everyone on the details.
The preview party, a special night planned to draw patron’s so they buy, is Thursday, April 20. The show is open to the public on April 21-22. Make sure you are part of this special event by submitting 1-5 paintings, plus up to 2 additional paintings if you participate in both of the “wet paint” days.
- Paintings of middle TN landscapes (no structures) are being accepted in addition to paintings from the Hermitage grounds.
- Paintings of animals that would normally appear in the area; i.e. turkeys, donkeys, horses, birds, squirrels, cows, other farm animals. (if structures are included they must be Hermitage only)
- Members can paint any time the Hermitage is open. You do not need to wait for a paintout. Please check-in at the ticket booth for a pass.
- A “Wet Paint” competition will be held on April 8 and 12. Look for a separate email with all the details. Save the day/s! This will be loads of fun and allows us to paint well into the lovely spring time.
- Title blocks are due by April 8 with a second date on the 13th for those that are still painting. Title blocks take a long time and we have a new person preparing them. We want to give her plenty of time. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
