CRC paintout cancelled Sunday and CRC show reminders
Hello members,
The paintout on Sunday is cancelled due to the forecast of rain. Our next paintout is scheduled for Sept. 17th (rain date Sept. 18th) at the Green Door Gourmet from 9am-3pm. We will have another paintout there on Sunday Sept. 23rd for weekend painters. Please see the paintout schedule for the details HERE. Feel free to paintout on your own or strike up an impromptu paintout via the Facebook member page. Thank you Bitsy and Gayle for doing that in the past!
Please refer to the fact sheet for the coming deadlines and show information. We would love to get your images up in the pop-up online gallery now if you know which pieces you will be submitting! Artists can submit 10 images for the pop-up online gallery. Two or Three (depending on the size) of those 10 images can be hung in the show. Those guidelines are in the fact sheet – link for that is HERE!
Remember the painting submissions are due by OCTOBER 2 at midnight (no exceptions!) and must be done online via the title block submission link under member resources. Please read all of the guidelines carefully!
Show marketing! – Since we have two facets of this show, your help with marketing will be KEY to the show’s success! Do you have friends who live out of town who would like to support your work? Once the show is up, please share the link to the pop-up gallery with all of your friends and patrons! They can support your work and support the mission of the Cumberland River Compact as well! Shipping will be paid by the purchaser. The show will be hung Oct. 11-Nov. 9th in the Bridge Building and online until November 9th. Visitors can view and purchase from the show during business hours and free parking should be available in “Lot R South” (except during special events). The River Talk event will be held Oct. 11 at 12pm and the CRC will be having their holiday event for their patrons on November 1st.
