I have always believed that if you trust your body, it will tell you what it needs. After many years of working in the business world, I developed an itch to explore my creative self, and decided it was time to “listen to the body”. Leaving the creature comforts of corporate-America behind, I took the plunge into the creative arts.
There is a dichotomy in my art making process. I prefer the starkness of graphite to express the suffering in life, and love high-chroma colors to express my joy for the natural world. Although both art forms are intrinsically satisfying, they challenge my visual and intellectual processes in very different ways.
Along the way, I’ve discovered that by really listening to my intuitive self, I’ve developed an understanding of my own voice and the voices of those around me.
