A River Runs Through It

Event co-chair Kay Keyes Farrar painting along-side the Duck River

Spring, 2012 Columbia TN
In Partnership with The Nature Conservancy

Another event that was wildly popular in 2010 returns to Columbia TN for an encore! This special art fundraiser will feature paintings from our artist members with a focus on the stunning Duck River. The Duck River is home to what is likely the widest variety of fresh water animal life in the United States and is the primary source of fresh water for over 250,000 people. Gracefully winding 269 miles through Middle Tennessee, the Duck River is one of our state’s most scenic waterways. Urban growth occurring in the upper Duck River watershed in combination with the river’s extraordinary biological richness, heightens the importance of protecting this vital resource. The Nature Conservancy is actively implementing a variety of strategies to preserve the quality and ecological integrity.

The fundraiser is scheduled for May 18,19, and 20, 2012. Mark your calendars.

We are proud to once again partner with The Nature Conservancy in their efforts to protect this vital resource in middle Tennessee.

Love the Lake, Friends of Radnor Lake Fundraiser

Radnor Lake in Autumn, Nashville, Tennessee

October 5-7, 2012

The Chestnut Group loves to partner with the beautiful Nashville gem, Radnor Lake.  The state park is enjoyed by all, in such a close setting to the city.  Since the floods of 2010, Radnor Lake has been putting forth great efforts to repair from damage, the funds raised during this fundraiser help allow them to restore the park and make it even better!

Admission to the sale is free and located in the visitors center.  The Chestnuts paint the area year round, so the paintings present will represent the many faces of Radnor throughout the seasons.  Hope to see you there!
